Hi All. some may remember me from years ago. I sold my Bongo about 8-9 years ago due to getting a company vehicle and had nowhere to keep her, sad day that was and still miss her. I was wondering if anyone knows of her whereabouts, she is still taxed and mot'd. She is a silver tintop ( or was when I ...

After having my fan seize and burn out the resistor I paid a trip to my mates scrap yard to see what donors could be used. Found two that were suitable for minor modification one from a Suzuki baleno and one from a kia sportage

Re: paint codes.my bongo should be silent silver.....but isn`t
Hoggman, I have had trouble with Halfords paints not matching before on a Vectra. I used to use someone ...

Re: Towing a caravan
Been towing a caravan with mine (2wd tintop) for years fitted an anker towbar (was cheaper), not fitted spring assisters as if the caravan is loaded sensibly and weight is distributed evenly they shouldnt be needed and not fitted any extra cooling devices.

Re: soft closure help req'd
When I first got my bongo the soft close had been dissconnected and I didnt know it had it until I saw another bongo's door lock itself. mine would close tight without the softclose so if yours doesnt it must be one of the latches or if the cables to the latches in the door have become dissconnected ...

The fan you can hear might be the bulkhead fan, yes there is two on the back of the radiator but also one under the bulkhead infront of the engine.
