Re: Air Con - Geen light but no life
I would assume that as the light on the switch is showing Green rather than Orange that this would suggest that there is pressure in the system. I'm happy to take it to a garage if it is pressure but don't want to pay £70 to find out it is not the problem. I take it the switch engages the clutch on ...

Air Con - Geen light but no life
My aircon always had an orange light on the switch and did not work so last year I tool it to a garage and they recharged it and it worked for the summer. Just tried it today and although the light on the switch is still green rather than orange it does not appear to be working.

Re: Front Brake Pad Clip
Thanks for the information. There were no instructions with the pads. Do you know which pad / location they are meant to be attached to?

Front Brake Pad Clip
I was replacing my front brake pads yesterday (2.5 TD) and the new pads came with 4 clips that did not appear to be on the existing ones. Can anyone let me know what these are for?
Thanks
Jim

Thanks, it is the o/s rear that I need to remove? Do you know if replacement clips are available? I have looked on a few websites and they do not seem to list them

Rear Trim Removal
Does anyone know how to remove the rear side trim on a 1996 2.5td? The only post I can fund says to pull out the sprung clips but with no indication where they are?

Priming Engine Oil After Storage

I thought i could remove the plug from the cut off solenoid and crank it a few times prime the engine ...

Re: Oil light stays on for 5 seconds after starting
Thanks. I will give this a go. I have also been reading that the gause on the oil pickup can get blocked. Just wandering if it is worth dropping the sump pan and having a look at this too. Does anyone know if is likely and if it is a trick job?

Re: Oil light stays on for 5 seconds after starting
I think i may know someone who has a guage i can borrow. I take it it connects in place of the oil pressure sensor? Does the oil need to be drained to connect this up?

Re: Oil light stays on for 5 seconds after starting
Changed the oil to 10w40 and put in a new Blueprint filter over the and this is still happening. I have spoken to a few garages and some of them say it is normal and others say not.
Can anyone tell me how long their oil light stays on for on a cold start?

Re: Oil light stays on for 5 seconds after starting
Thanks. I spoke to a guy yesterday who said the oil I used is too thin. I put in 5w30 which I thought was right but I am going to change it to 10w40 like he suggested and I have ordered a blueprint filter so hopefully that will do it
