I was replacing my front brake pads yesterday (2.5 TD) and the new pads came with 4 clips that did not appear to be on the existing ones. Can anyone let me know what these are for?
Thanks
Jim

Re: Front Brake Pad Clip
They are wear indicators that will make a noise when they rub against the disc. Fit them as per the instructions that came with the pads, or leave them off as you wish.
It may be worth changing the spring mounting clips as they get brittle with age. Mine just fell apart.

Re: Front Brake Pad Clip
Thanks for the information. There were no instructions with the pads. Do you know which pad / location they are meant to be attached to?
