Re: The Rear Kitchen Has Arrived...

Hi Mark,
I have a similar rear conversion and am thinking of the seat boxes and table from Tranzwagon.
Could you let me know the approximate dimensions of the seat boxes and table please ?
Also do you fix them to the original seat bolts ?
One problem I have is my fridge is offset to the nearside so ...

Re: 321 Away Rear Conversion

Ok thanks a lot
So does the box open up into the middle as it were instead of the table ?
I guess it could hinge on the same brackets as the seats ?
I hoped to improve the "built in " storage with a box on each side instead of the seats.

Cheers

321 Away Rear Conversion

Hello Fellow Bongonauts ,

Just wanted to pick the collective brains...I've acquired a second hand rear conversion from 321 Away with the fridge on the near side and I wanted to get twin box seats and table (to drop down to form the bed ) as made by Tranzwagon.
The problem is the fridge door would ...

Taping up hose?

Hi Bongonauts,
Just wondering if it is a sensible precaution to wrap some of that Magic Repair tape round a hose? Not having a problem just looking ahead !

Re: Help ATF Roof pulling away from material

There are references to it on here somewhere. With mine I tried to remove the little plastic plugs but fund them too stiff so just Araldited them and tapped them back up with a hammer.
Best to just open the roof halfwayish so the fabric is not too taut but enough to get up there!
You may have to ...

Re: Manifold stud

Ok thanks very much for the speedy reply.
I've just changed the rad and thermostat and she/he/it seems to be running cooler than before. Would a hotter engine create more chance of warping ? or am I barking (up the wrong tree?)
thanks again

Manifold stud

Morning Bongonauts,
Just noticed I am missing the no.1 stud( I think) empty hole to left of the heat shield?? I've checked the others and they are all there ok.
Having read many scary stories ,warped manifold etc I know I need to get it fixed ,although there are no other symptoms no squealing etc ...

Re: Thermostat Replacement

Just done mine and it was a pain. I coudn't find any way to do it from above although peeps on here say you can.You need to remove the engine "shield" first and then you can access the stat from underneath with a socket set with a couple of extensions on it. You have to wiggle it between the ...

Re: Rad replacement

Ok thanks very much. I was told the coolant was renewed last August but I guess for the cost it would be better to change it. I'm just a bit apprehensive about all that bleeding lark.
Would the stat be playing up then and be causing this?
Thanks again

Rad replacement

Hi there Bongonauts
New member here. Very much appreciated all the information from you . I have a '95 diesel 4wd with AFT black over silver. Just noticed a small damp patch under front bumper and I can see seepage from around the plastic/metal lugs on the rad top. I've read enough on here about ...
