sediment and charge - uphill only

My sediment and charge lights come on but only under hard 'acceleration' e.g. going up a steep hill and getting my foot down 'on the gas pedal'. Any suggestions?

Re: Leisure battery losing charge

Thanks for the replies. I have replaced one of the split charger fuses and that seems to be OK. The battery is 80Ah and is trickle charged between trips. Because it used to perform much better I've decided that it is time for a new one.

Leisure battery losing charge

My leisure battery starts the day charged, usually from a hookup, but when I park up for a day the charge drops so that by the evening it is no longer cooling the fridge. Is it time to splash out on a new battery?

Re: Leisure battery

I have disconnected my leisure battery and charged it up using a trickle charger. This was fully charged, reading 12.75V when not connected to the charger BUT the charge is already going down whilst the battery is merely sitting on a workbench, down to 12.66V after just three hours. Is it time for a ...

Re: Leisure battery

I do have a hook up, which I have never used. Are you saying I can just hook up to the mains in my house?

Re: Leisure battery

Thanks for the quick replies, we haven't changed any of the electrics. I was under the impression that our middle light ran off the main battery, we have a light over the sink unit and one over the rear seats that run off the leisure battery.

Leisure battery

Our Bongo, purchased May '07, came with a leisure battery fitted. This summer it doesn't seem to be charging up fully, consequently the lights are dim and by the morning the fridge has switched off.
When it has been standing for a couple of days and with the engine off it gave a reading on a ...

Rear washer no, rear wiper yes

My rear wiper is working OK but the washer isn't squirting and there is no noise from the pump. The reservoir is full. Do I need to move my leisure battery to get at the pump or will the reservoir lift out if I loosen the two nuts at the top.

Re: Sediment and Battery light staying on- brightly ! HELP!!

I had these two lights on last year - the problem was caused by water in the gutter below the windscreen, there is a drain hole there that gets blocked easily.

Re: Fuse Help

Thanks for that, the big blue one is physically damaged, there is no plastic cover, which is why I am having to guess it is 100a, the others have their ratings marked on their covers.

Fuse Help

Having looked at the fuse fact sheet and under my bonnet I am a bit confused. The larger fuse box looks the same, but for the smaller one (fuses 1-4) I have five spaces. I have, from L to R, a space, a blue one (100a?), then a 30a, a 30a and a 40a.
What would happen, or not happen, if the blue fuse ...
