Re: Driving Young Alfie
I have two rows of isofix. I've actually put the baby seat in a rear-facing row (still with the baby seat facing the rear of the vehicle). makes for a much more pleasant journey when you can sit in the forward facing row and see one another.

Re: Seat belts and rear facing seats
Where is the best point to attach a lap belt and fastener on the split bench seat?
I've reversed the middle bench and would like a lap belt (yes I know not legal requirement)
Is it a case of re-using existing bolts or do I need to attach / drill something?

Re: wiring box has a squeaky rattle
this is really doing my nut in. with or without plastic fascia over the wiring connector box it squeaks and squeals. shoving a sock in there did not help...
not sure how the bar could be the culprit; sound is localised to driver side right around the wiring. i'll see if i can make a video.

Re: Insurance for Bongo
Adrian Flux were good for me; they know their stuff.
The other insurers I tried wouldn't quote a grey import.

FWIW the underseal treatment (if they've done that) can smell of petrol if it's thinned with a bit of petrol to get it out of the spray gun.

Re: Fuel tank capacity
Any more thoughts on this? Mine took 45l today. Mines an R reg so no light at empty, bit I ran it as low as I dared and could only put in 45. I'm trying to work out the mpg so just need to know the numbers for calcs.
i would go from low as you dare then full around three times, say that's 135L ...

Re: 12 months.. 10,000 miles.. and smiling 😊
I've just had to pay adrian flux another £70 to add 2,500 miles, because we've done 7,000 since February, and plenty more trips planned!

wiring box has a squeaky rattle
does anyone else's wiring box (near right-knee area of driver's side seat) make a (bloody annoying!) squeaky rattling type noise? I've tried tightening the screws but don't want to over-tighten. Might just wedge a sock in there to dampen it.
thought worth asking if anyone else has experienced this ...

Re: Air conditioner compressor clutch
Having removed the rear heater/aircon matrix thing in mine and capping the pipes off, I took it to a local garage who tested for leaks. After ascertaining that there were no leaks (yay!) they re-gassed it. All for £80. Might be worth getting the same done with yours. The compressor was making some ...

Re: Newbie - Help is this a 4x4 Bongo
if off-road is a major concern, a smaller 4x4 with a roof tent might be a better option. Jimny / Land Cruiser / Pajero etc.

Re: Air conditioner compressor clutch
hello there!
I've had the belt tension re-adjusted, no squeal so far
but the aircon is still intermittent.
i'm looking for advice whether re-gassing the system is liable to
a) help
and/or
b) rule out any other issues
any guidance before I drop £80 on gas?
thanks

Re: Air conditioner compressor clutch
having driven 2,500miles round europe this past 4 weeks, the aircon was an on/off affair.
some days it would work fine, others would be intermittent.
turning AC to econ then to off, then turning fans off, then waiting a minute, then restarting and it would often re-engage and work ... for 10 ...

Re: Bongo Newbie - Gutter Rail & Fig 8 Query
We found the “drive away” awning immeasurably irritating to use. The drive away part is fine, it’s the drive back part that is absurd.
