2.5 petrol temp sender
Anyone know of a compatible part for the temp gauge sender, this is the single pin one at the front of the engine. Mine is faulty and ideally want to pick one up today. No longer able to go to a parts dept and just try things for match, need a reg or exact model number for them to retrieve a part.

Re: V6 petrol additional temperature gauge issues
Cheers. Will let it get really cold tonight and see what it does in the morning. It all seems like passive components so can't see that anything needs to learn parameters etc but maybe (hopefully) the sender hasn't really had to work for the last 3 months and got upset when it got properly hot for ...

Re: V6 petrol additional temperature gauge issues
Thanks Geoff. Unfortunately the datasheet does not tell you the expected resistance at any given temp. Not in the manuals either. No idea at the moment whether the sender, cluster, gauge or wiring are at fault. Will let it get frozen tonight and see if it manages to drain a CR network somewhere and ...

V6 petrol additional temperature gauge issues
Hi All,
Bit of a weird one, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Last year I did the temp gauge mod where you loop out the diode and add a resistor to remove the dead-zone and have a more useful gauge. All was fine.
Although the van has been working absolutely fine and the ...

V6 petrol additional temperature gauge
Hi,
I'm having a few issues with my temperature gauge. Actual vehicle cooling is fine but gauge is messing about.
If you fit a third-party gauge, where is the best place to fit the sensor?
Please see my other post if you fancy helping out with the factory gauge issue too
Cheers.
Mark

V6 petrol set tickover when in Drive.
V6 2.5. Petrol, How do you set the tickover?
Current issue is that when you come to a stop in D or R the tickover drops too low, then it hunts a bit and settles.
If you add an electrical load (lights or heated screen) it’s all absolutely fine so it looks like if I lift the tickover a touch it’ll ...

Re: V6 Petrol Noise When Warm
Hi, sorry to hijack your thread but was wondering if you can share your experience on the water pump change.
Once you get the pulley off are all the other fixings accessible or do you need to remove more components/covers?
Any tips for someone doing it the first time?
Where did you get your pump ...

v6 2.5 petrol water pump
HI, My waterpump bearing is on the way out. Still working but sounds like a chicken. Took the belts off and found this to be the cause of my noise.
Anyone know of a compatible waterpump as very few places stock the one listed for the V6 petrol so was wondering if anyone has found a compatible unit ...

Re: Radio switched supply
There in lays the confusion. Reboot is the same as on-off. Reset is when settings are lost. Mine just reboots, ie, turns on and off. It dies not reset.

Re: Radio switched supply
Both supplies are working as designed. Problem is the acc gets interrupted while cranking. The drop in ACC is the signal that tells the radio that it should turn off. Have not managed to find a switched ACC supply that is not interrupted while cranking so will probably just add a capacitor and diode ...

Re: Radio switched supply
Yep. Just turns ACC off when cranking so radio turns off then back on so has to reboot. Probably going. To add a capacitor and diode to bridge the gap if it gets too annoying.

Radio switched supply
The radio on the Bongo goes on and off with the key. It comes on at first click ACC and goes off when you turn off and take the key out. However when cranking the ACC supply is interrupted press so the radio reboots. Could wire it up to a permanent live but then risk leaving it on and flattening a ...
