v6 2.5 petrol water pump

Post by Mark-H » Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:46 pm

HI, My waterpump bearing is on the way out. Still working but sounds like a chicken. Took the belts off and found this to be the cause of my noise.
Anyone know of a compatible waterpump as very few places stock the one listed for the V6 petrol so was wondering if anyone has found a compatible unit. Managed to get 3 of teh 4 pulley bolts out so currently soaking in penetrating oil to try and get the 4th off before I go about taking the pump off the engine. Any tips or gotchas apart from bleeding it all when I'm done?

Any experience on how long between chicken noises and waterpump not working?

Seems to be available https://mazdabongo.com/product/mazda-bo ... 5-onwards/
also https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/8as715010a
and http://www.autospares.eu/search.html?ar ... ce&smode=A
Not aware of any compatible parts but might be worth talking to the usual spares in the UK places to see if they have any more info;
