V6 petrol additional temperature gauge

Post by Mark-H » Sat Mar 01, 2025 2:48 pm

Hi,

I'm having a few issues with my temperature gauge. Actual vehicle cooling is fine but gauge is messing about.
If you fit a third-party gauge, where is the best place to fit the sensor?

Please see my other post if you fancy helping out with the factory gauge issue too :)

Cheers.

Doesn’t really matter where you fit it….not near the exhaust or in the air floe…the back of the cylinder head is ba good spot…..fit it, drive around for a couple of days and note the “normal” reading on the gauge and the highest temp achieved….set the alarm a couple of degrees higher than the highest reading…( up hill under power)
