Switch for rear side windows?
Hi all - is there a way of opening the rear side windows? I know the middle ones can be opened manually. The rear ones appear to have the same hinges as the middle but the opening mechanism looks like it might be operated electronically? Is there a secret switch somewhere?

Thank you for the reply - that’s quite a range! Safe enough to aim for somewhere in the middle? Say 15 Nm?

High pressure oil feed pipe to turbo
Hi - I need to replace a leaking oil pipe from the top of the turbo (the high pressure feed pipe). I’ve sourced a second hand one from Bongospares but before I change the pipe I wondered if anyone knew the torque settings for the banjo bolts at either end?

Hi - I'm about to replace the same pipe (sourced a second hand one from Bongospares). Does anyone know the torque settings for the two bolts?

Re: Front window sizes
Very helpful Peter - many thanks for that!
As for the tint, I might have to take a punt on that for now - keen to get glass back in there asap!

Front window sizes
Hi all,
Some unsavoury character took it upon themselves to smash our passenger front window glass last night so I'm looking for a replacement. Does anyone know if the glass size has changed over the model range? Ours is a 2003 model and I've found a window on eBay for a 96 model but want to be ...

Aircon testing adaptors
Hi - we've been trying to get our aircon tested/re-gassed but the two garages I have tried locally have both said they can't attach their diagnostic machines to the Bongo as they need some sort of adaptor. Anyone else come across this problem? Looking for a garage in the Edinburgh area that could ...

Before you start sticking unwanted strainers into your FIP you need to check and make sure that your model of FIP actually supports a strainer.
The later type FIP on these wltd engines do not have a strainer (banjo filter)

Re: Missing Banjo Filter?
I removed the banjo bolt and washers/spacers and gently put a cotton bud down into the hole. I inserted it far enough to (almost) lose the bud into the hole so I'm pretty certain there isn't a filter in there! Best purchase one...

Missing Banjo Filter?
Hi - we recently purchased an early 2000 Ford Freda (2.5 diesel) whose service history is a bit thin on the ground. With this in mind I've given it an oil/air/diesel filter change and fresh oil. On the advice of various forum posts I went to check the Banjo filter but as far as I can see I don't ...
