Aircon testing adaptors

Post by Grazedknuckles » Tue Aug 02, 2016 1:45 pm

Hi - we've been trying to get our aircon tested/re-gassed but the two garages I have tried locally have both said they can't attach their diagnostic machines to the Bongo as they need some sort of adaptor. Anyone else come across this problem? Looking for a garage in the Edinburgh area that could test/re-gas the aircon if anyone knows of one!

Standard I thought, can you upload an image of the valve?

Probably excuses because they haven't updated the database in the machine to have the latest info. loaded.

Thank you for the prompt and concise replies! I seem to have the low pressure filler:

But then just behind and to the right of the radiator i seem to have these two pipes - they look like they should be attached to something?

Others.
Could they be for the rear AC unit?
They certainly look like LP/HP AC pipes to me.
Grazedknuckles, others on here will know that one.
And those could well be the "adapters" referred to by those garages, in which case you would have to reinstate the pipe work or get a link made up to loop the two together.
An AC specialist would be the next call if that where the case.
