What is the VIN number either on the plate in the passenger door or stamped into the scuttle plate under the windscreen on the drivers side?

My VIN is SGLW 202950. Does that help?

So these are the details ?
Mazda Bongo Friendee, 19.06.1998
Grade: LTD Options: ゼンキガタ with sunroof diesel 2500 AT side スカート ナシ normal differential A フ"レ-キ with 2WD with hyper seat
Frame/VIN: SGLW-202950 Manufactured: 19.06.1998 Trim: SC7 Color: A2T Seats: STC Doors: TDB

That says you have a Sunroof not an AFT, which might explain why the wiring doesn't match up!!!! Maybe someone has welded an AFT on top which might explain the problems ????

Have you got any pictures of the roof both inside and outside ? Wondering if someone has stripped out the sunroof and installed an AFT on top of the basic TinTop with sunroof!

The wiring for a Sunroof is on that date of vehicle;

Yep. That probably explains it! I'll send over some pics tonight. It does look very original inside, so not sure how it's happened.

Possibly why the roof light never lights up or flashes.

The roof loom carries a Yellow Blue wire which on mine is a bare loose wire and doesn't connect at x13. I.e. there's no yellow blue wire in the F loom to connect into at x13.

I bet the ATF is from the older model and so the roof loom is older
