Haydn Alarm LCD Bulb Change

Post by Mark Elvin » Tue Oct 14, 2014 7:31 am

Is is possible to change the bulb on the display an the LCD display? I'm a fussy bugger & it doesn't match the colour of the dash illumination.

But....but.....but....the only time it's on is when you are likely to have other things on your mind?

Sorry, that's not an answer! It'll be interesting to see what the lca people say - so long since I fitted mine I can't remember.

Most LCDs use surface mounted LEDs fixed to the PCB so changeable but only if you are experienced in working with s/m components.

You could take the lid off and change the LCA alarm bulb if you can solder. Don't try and interfere with the TM2 bulb....but what's the point? It's only on for 1 sec when you switch on, any other time and you will spot the red amongst all your other lights.
Best advice...leave well alone.

It's the illumination of the LCD I want to change. Not the warning light or LCD itself.
