smoking bongo
hi i need HELP i have little to no knowledge of mechanics so here goes , my radiator burst in the bad weather so i took it to my local garage and he fitted a new on the when i go it back found the heaters were blowing cold the a few days later clouds of white smoke came bellowing out the exhaust for at lest the first mile or two not sure if the two problems are related. my local garage has since bled the system and fitted new glow plugs to find same problem. (96 n reg diesel )

Re: smoking bongo
Are you loosing any coolant at all?
Re: smoking bongo
can you use a test light or voltmeter to confirm the glow rail gets power
Re: smoking bongo
not sure about coolant and 11.9 v on the rail.
Re: smoking bongo
ok guys bit more of an up date NO coolant left at all, and a large very slightly oil feeling water mark on my drive

Re: smoking bongo
Sounds like you need to get it taken to a bongo savay garage (on a flat bed) and find out where the system is loosing coolant. Maybe somebody who knows your area better could advise on garage options? Best of luck for an easy and innexpensive fix

Re: smoking bongo
If the tanks empty....don't drive it....even if you fill it up you will have air in there.
Re: smoking bongo
A turn for the worst found out the water is coming out the exhaust think the head may be cracked if you agree where is the best place to get replacement ?
