Broken manifold stud help!

Post by se3454 » Wed Jan 18, 2012 8:07 pm

Hi, seems quite a common problem, my front manifold stud has broken off an is making the lovely whistling sound. As it seems quite common I was wondering if anyone could give me any help with how to fix it. What do I need to remove to get the manifold off and get access to the stud, also any tips on the best way of removing the old broken one. Many thanks

make sure that you follow the advice on the factsheet, especially regarding not breaking in to the coolant system!

the stud can be extracted and replaced without removing anything....just swing the alternator out of the way
