yes there are two shear bolts so its looking like the whole unit has to be changed, thanks for your replies, regards, kirk

hi everyone just a quick question,
can the ignition barrel be removed by turning the key to say position two and pressing a button on the side, i cant seem to get this one to play ball but it may not come apart like that if you know what i mean.

yes i saw that e bay advert, on the face of it a good deal, two years gaurantee plus post included both directions for £155, cheapest i have found, will speak to customer and see what he says, if i can get a trade discount i will let you know!!,regards, kirk.

hi all, i have a customers vehicle in the workshop that requires a steering rack-its leaking like a sieve, bongo shop no help but ian did give me details for a chap who could supply me with a re-con unit-[his name is vaugn] , prices were £198 inc vat plus £18 delivery then there was a £120 surcharge ...

the speedo is in mph so i guess its been converted, was out test driving it after fitting new belts and pressed the re-set on the mileometer and presto the speedo jumped into life, it lasted the rest of that journey and then resorted back to u/s, customer informed me that it would allways work if ...

UPDATE!
vehicle now starts and runs fine, no smoke, performance as it should be, thanks to all who helped me through including the very nice man at lawson diesels who supplied the seals!
next problems are 1, no speedo and 2, fuel gauge inop, will start searching for these now!

ok success at last..... used my vac pump to draw derv through pump return system, started almost instantly, have had running for 15 minutes, revs fine, no leaks, cannot try performance on road as its trapped at the rear of the workshop till i clear other work, heres hoping!
