Re: Cat Heat Sensor and lumpy idle (V6 1997)

Hi,it sound like the engine is not firing on all 6 cylinders,it could be dumping unburnt fuel into the CAT.It is not advisable to mask this by adjusting the tick over speed, you need to get this matter investigated asap. If it is dumping fuel the CAT will get Red Hot. Good Luck. Thanks for the reply...

Cat Heat Sensor and lumpy idle (V6 1997)

Since having the timing belt changed my v6 Bongo has been lumpy at idle, especially once up to temp. Seems almost like the idle revs are set too low as it's smooth enough whilst driving - just feels like it's about to stall when sat in traffic. The rev counter sits at about 500 rpm or slightly less ...

Re: To Radweld or not to Radwled - that is the question...

Yes - had read that other thread and found it useful: knowing which bits you can safely pull/lever apart is a boon. The rear pump was seized and the front pump was the leak culprit - out of the bottom of it. Layered on some epoxy, soak tested for a couple of hours and I think I'm good to go.

Re: To Radweld or not to Radweld - that is the question...

@ Northern Bongolow: Definitely got a leak from the washer bottle - it's out now and I'm seeing where that comes from - possibly just one of the motors slightly unseated. The rear motor didn't work so a good excuse to repair that as well. At least that was a quick job. Not sure if the washer leak is...

To Radweld or not to Radwled - that is the question...

Since my coolant loss issue - see previous post, expansion tank cap not on properly - I have noticed some steam issue from the radiator. Don't know if this was an existing issue I'd not noticed or caused by the incident. Obviously my full attention is on the cooling system at the moment and it's onl...

Re: Topping Up Coolant - it's all water at the moment

Thanks for all your help on this. The cold snap came before I could do anything fancy so I just drained out a just over a couple of litres from the radiator drain tap and stuck a couple of litres of blue antifreeze into the radiator and then topped up the header tank with the coolant I had drained. ...

Topping Up Coolant - it's all water at the moment

Had a major coolant loss event today... driving along the M4 suddenly noticed 'that' smell and a load of steam escaping from the left hand side. Pulled over onto the shoulder, popped the bonnet, expansion tank cap sat on top of the leisure battery and coolant all over the place. I'd visually checked...

Re: Roof Bar Fixings

I've just done the same thing myself - thought I'd had an original thought, was about to post and then found this topic so I thought I'd add a bit more detail. With most roof boxes I've seen the bars need to be closer together than the 120cm spacing of the mounting points in the AFT so I went for 13...
