Symptoms:
No water on front or rear srcreen, no motor activation/noise of pump/s behind front nearside headlight.if you have pump noise but no water check the nozzles, pipework, and the inline one way valves, the rear one way valve is located in the rear roof space, if you locate the waterpipe at the rear door opening and gently pull the gromet out on the body side, about 6 inches down is a oneway valve that gets full of gunge, remove and blow clear.
how to:
if you have 2 batteries remove the nearside one with the usual care of short circuit. remove the batt tray.remove the front grill, remove the nearside headlight/sidelight. remove the 2 10mm bolts thet hold the top edge of the washer res to the slam panel, lift the res upwards, the res is now free but still connected to the pipework at the lower edge, and the lecky bits.
you may have to move wiring harnesses to lift enough to work on the pumps.
remove the pump/s:
they are just push fit into the res so gently lever away from the body, they are held watertight with a rubber gromet. free the lecky plug/s.
the plugs are different but may be swapable if you follow the guide below and remove the lecky connection part and swap over, but this needs to be confirmed as ive only stripped the rear wash pump.
piscs 1 and 2 show the removed rear wash pump. if you gently pull on the lecky conection block it will pop out, its held in by a rubber ring, and the springs that rub on the com, just pull evenly.

pics 3-4 show the inner bits/com,this will prob be full of crud and mine was siezed solid. wash out with penetrating spray or similar. i had to gently rotate the shaft/com using a very small screwdriver by levering against the com and the side body, once some movement was obtained more spray to wash out the crud, repeat until its really smooth to rotate, final wash out then move to the lecky contacts on the plug bit, just a light degunge with some light emery cloth and a wash off then gently push back together making sure the brushes go one either side of the com, lubricate the sealing ring and snap back together, job done.

back together: note the dirrection the plug should face.
dont be tempted to remove the white plastic base,it looks like it may come off but it may be destroyed in the proccess.

to rebuild the motor to the bottle push the ruber gromet into the res first, then gently but firmly push the motor through the gromet until it snaps into place,(lub first).
test the motor before you remount the res and rebuild the front of your bongo.
should take a couple of hours start to finish.
good luck.
