Re: SteelSeal disaster - What next
Thanks. What did your problem turn out to be? I'm thinking injectors, plugs or even air.

SteelSeal disaster - What next
I have had a few issues with slow coolant loss and smoke and eliminated many of the less critical things.
I put some steel seal in the rad and got it up to temperature.
Today I checked on the rad and it is full of jelly.!
I am guessing it reacted with the antifreeze which I was the correct type ...

Willinton kit & 110Ah leisure battery
Hello
I have a 110Amp leisure battery and the Willinton kit.
I have had some problems with the kit and only just noticed that the willinton ebay page says 100Amp
Does this mean it is only suitable up to 100ah?

Willinton Question
My Willinton kit is not charging the LB. When the engine is switched off there is a constant green light on the relay unit. I notice this only comes on when the screws are in contact with the body work. I am (perhaps wrongly) assuming the light should not be on permanently and wonder what or why ...

Will this do? The more I read the more I get confused on this topic.

Thank you. That's about what it needed. I assume this is something to do with the thermostat closing.

Re: Lucky I checked
Is it normal for some settlement of coolant after bleeding the system? I ask because my coolant alarm was beeping thismorning and the tanks was low. It was fine when I finished the job last night.

Lucky I checked
I had the core plug, Thermostat and water pump replaced yesterday, decided to have the coolant system flushed and coolant replaced while he was at it. He assured me he knew how to bleed the system.

Re: Draining Coolant
When removing the coolant from the Bongo, should it be flat or is there any benefit in elevating the front or back end to make it easier?

Re: Oil leak mystery
I have looked for pictures of the process of blanking off the EGR but to no avail. I have learned that the EGR system has parts on both sides of the engine.
Can anyone offer pics to help me with this. I am up for the challenge of removing this goo-maker.

Re: Oil leak mystery
Thanks for the advice. I have been looking at the EGR for a few days and will blank it off as it appears to be the root of all the leaks I am experiencing.

Oil leak mystery
I have oil that appears to be coming from this large pipe just behind the slim one.. It's an air pipe, isn't it?
Is this common?, I can't see any oil leaking from higher up onto the pipe, I have no noticeable drop in oil level either..
The top of the pipe is coated. What causes this?

Re: EGR or a bigger issue
Thankyou.
That makes sense. It must have stopped working when the engine was hot. I thought I'd bust it. It is working again now. Another lesson learned.
