I have had a few issues with slow coolant loss and smoke and eliminated many of the less critical things.
I put some steel seal in the rad and got it up to temperature.
Today I checked on the rad and it is full of jelly.!
I am guessing it reacted with the antifreeze which I was the correct type, or there was some antifreeze of the incorrect type already in my system. I fully accept my stupidity and hope to make things better over the weekend.
Can I simply clean and flush the system? Will I need a new Stat, Rad and/or Waterpump. Can I flush it through with a hose until it clears or is it curtains for the old girl.
Advice appreciated.

Bummer mate, I thought you would have hade a response by now so I will try and help.
Did it cure the leak?
I have had similar symptoms for a couple of years that had nothing to do with the head, finally resolved a month ago.
Unless you know what will dissolve your jelly anything you use could make it worse. Past experience suggests flushing won’t clear the rad. You could remove the plastic top and bottom of the radiator and manually clean the tubes. Personally I would flush the system then fit a new rad.
Good luck.

Thanks. What did your problem turn out to be? I'm thinking injectors, plugs or even air.
