Re: Help - Our Bongo died!

Hi yes the ignition lights stayed on initially but they soon faded along with lights. I will ask him to check the fuel shut off electric switch on the top of the pump and print out the diagram.

Cheers

Help - Our Bongo died!

On Thursday night I was driving up to Yorkshire for a long weekend on the moors. Four miles from home the Bongo suddenly died on me and I managed to coast over to the side of the road. Nothing happened when I tried to start her again (although glow plug lights came on as usual) so I sat and waited ...

We overheated!

This has been baffling me.

Last week we drove up to Mull, a journey of about 400 miles. Half way there the temp gauge suddenly shot up to about 2 oclock before going back to its normal position (maybe slightly higher). I thought that it would be prudent to stop, and check the coolant when the ...

Blown exhaust?

I was driving between Nottingham and Mansfield this morning when I started hearing a noise the Bongo has never made before. Hard to explain but a throaty buzzing sound coming from the back left hand side. It increases when I am excelerating but the Bongo is running well with no noticable change in ...

Anyone off to Green Man

We are off to Green Man tomorrow in the Bongo. Anyone here going? If you see a white 4wd bongo with a purple roof come and say Hi.

Leaky scratch on rear wheel arch

I have managed to aquire 2 very small but fairly deep scratches by my rear wheel arch. I first noticed them when two rust coloured patches appeared. These were easily removed with a bit of soap and hot water and I thought all was well. However within a week the scratches started leaking this rust ...

Loss of power (accompanied by a nasty screeching noise)

Hi there, a newbie here after a bit of advice.

We brought our Bongo a couple of months ago and up until yesterday it was running like a dream (by the way it is a P reg, 4WD, Diesel auto). We were driving home to Nottingham from South Wales and pulled into services to have a break and fill up ...
