Re: Fuse 8 keeps blowing
The reversing light only comes on when you select reverse gear, not just when you put the sidelights on.

Re: Fuse 8 keeps blowing
Yes that is the one circuit I hate trying to debug, it runs all the way from the bonnet down both sides and around the rear. Most common problem is a lamp that has blown but left metal traces across the supports. Another cause is damage to the loom itself if there has been any welding done without s...

Re: Fuse 8 keeps blowing
Right so the next question is does it blow on insertion or only after the lights are turned on and the relay operates, probably only briefly! If the latter then there is a short after the relay that is blowing the fuse.

Re: Fuse 8 keeps blowing
Welcome aboard! Unfortunately the fuses have differing number schemes depending on year and between the front and back of the fuse panel! The internal X03 panel ones are; So your number 8 fuse maybe the : Top row left - Red 10 Amp - Unswitched power, internal lights, alarm, ECU backup power etc. or ...

Re: Toad immobiliser serial number
Usually hidden well up under the dashboard, for obvious reasons! Try on the drivers side high up possibly near the grommet for cables to the bonnet as there will be a cable to the siren which is normally in close proximity to the grommet under the bonnet on the offside.

Re: 12v Socket / cigarette lighter
The 12v socket is fed from the Ancillaries fuse, which if you have a leisure battery means its been transferred across to it from the starter battery normally by removing the standard fuse (top right, 10Amp or 15Amp in fuse box by drivers knee) and replacing it with a wire in a small loom to the fus...

Re: V6 petrol set tickover when in Drive.
The engine manual has 4-5 pages covering the various parts that affect the idle speed, and a further 3-4 pages covering the Air Adjust Screw, some of which if I remember correctly requires you to put a link in the diagnostic socket to stop the ECU adjusting things behind your back! You really need t...

Re: Please help me identify a hose on the 2L Bongo
There is a set of diagrams with diagram part numbers here on the shop site https://bongoland.co.uk/identifying-your-hose/ but if you use the full parts diagram https://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/ it also has the full Mazda code number in the table top left on each page, rather than just the ...

Re: Head blown - dilemma
Yes that is the usual route, there are items on eBay supplying complete kits but you could also try the usual suppliers from Bongo specialists who might offer better quality or service or may even be closer to you; These companies do a range of spares, not all will have everything so try them all; F...

Re: Fed up 😂
Welcome aboard! Humm, not sure there will be anyone who can guide you much on trying to refit retro older parts, its not something most people would even think of and even less attempt! No one has successfully reverse engineered the ECU, plus there are lots of variations of the ECU's over time so it...

Re: Raising roof manually
There is another method but it can be just as fiddly, it involves pushing thin rods or garden canes under the front lip of the roof so that you can push the sliders backwards, but if you have never seen the arrangement under the front of the roof it can be to get the rods/canes aligned to push on th...
