Saj, it's quite common for the corner guides to be disconnected for the sva,many a bongo have i seen with the cable cut, yes, cut...going to the parking pole. Yes, those are the two things to check first - fuse and that it's in park. Then, I think, roof-microswitch and then parking-brake-microswitch and then motors (I should hope not) and lastly control unit ( to God it 'aint this!). Good luck getting it sorted!
