Re: Reversing middle row of seats on Bongo

Welcome H47.. Whereabouts are you located.?

The seat unbolting/moving is a pretty simple operation, takes me ten minutes at most.
Though the seats are quite heavy, it only needs one spanner for the four bolts then lift and spin.. (have done it alone, but it’s easier wth a friend to assist).

Re: Rear seat modification advice - one/two seater

Yes, I’ve seen posts on that, seems like a lot of work, though one of my sons is a welder..
I’m thinking either a modified Bongo seat, or a suitable alternative mounted on the existing rails/runners would be simpler.
Maybe.. 🤔

Rear seat modification advice - one/two seater

Hello folks.
I have a ‘standard’ 8 seater pop-top, it gets used variously as a people carrier with all seats in, and as a load hauler with one or both rows removed as required.
I also used it to pick up a motorcycle which, with seats removed but sliders in place to provide anchor points, it did ...

Re: Bamboozled by bad Bongo 😳

Umm, buying cars online seems the norm these days, personally I’d always want to get a good look, and equally important, check out the seller.
If you aren’t mechanically minded, getting an expert check it over is money well spent, a bit late now for you I guess.

If it were me, I’d be taking photos ...

Re: 2.5 DT: Lazy Temperature Gauge and Topping Up Coolant

Defo bleed the system.
Mine had a temp gauge that looked okay ticking over, but was quickly going off the scale as soon as it was driven. The header tank was topped up but still the same, so I clearly had an air lock in the system.
It’s not a difficult job as I found out bleeding mine for the first ...

Re: Too many leaks?

While I’m not a qualified mechanic, I’ve owned and driven many older vehicles over the years and staining like that is, in my experience, common.
If there were drips of fresh oil appearing I’d be concerned and looking for a cause, but general dampness wouldn’t worry me.
