Khyam Motordome
We currently have a Fiamma Privacy Room which we are thinking of changing for a Khyam Motordome. Does anyone have a view as to which model works best with the Bongo? We are planning to leave the Fiamma awning attached to the van to use when we are not using the annexe. Is this likely to cause a ...

Camping Zlatarog, Bohinj, Slovenia
I have posted separately about Slovenia in general (very positive) but also want to alert other Bongo owners to the negative aspects of this site. My advice is don't go near it! Great location but really poor quality. Congested, over crowded, expensive and really grubby. It seemed to me that because ...
Slovenia
We are just back from Slovenia having stayed on 3 sites. I've included some info about each one along with some general points.
The country is absolutely stunning! We travelled through the Triglav National Park which is predictably spectacular. The pass over from Italy (Passo Predel) is probably the ...

Flashing Hold Light Diagnostics
I have run through the diagnostics procedure as per the Transmission Codes Fact sheet. The sequence of flashes is 7 flashes in about 7 seconds. This sequence is repeated. During the procedure a light is illuminated just below the hold light warning saying "sediment".This warning light goes off once ...

Hold Light Flashing (17 flashes with 1 second intervals)
Symptoms are: Hold Light starts to flash after about 20 minutes driving. Then 17 flashes with about 5 minutes between each set of 17. Interval between flashes approx 1 second. There have been other shorter sets of flashes on occasions. Hard to be too precise as I have been driving each time.

AFT roof struggling to open fully
Roof is struggling to open fully recently. Gets about 80-90% of the way up and then either fails to complete or jerks slowly almost into position doing lots of creaking and juddering. No problems on the way down. Any ideas?

Flashing Hold Light
Started getting intermittent flashing hold light a few months ago. Went away for a while and has now returned. Seems to start after having travelled for a while and then flashes between 10 and 20 times before going off. Starts to repeat soon after. Otherwise everything seems fine. Any ideas?

Re: Lots of coolant all over the tarmac!!
Thanks for advice. Just refilled with coolant , ran the engine for a few minutes and everything seemed normal, running smoothly, no unusual noises or smells. So fingers crossed it is just the radiator. After the engine was switched off the dripping started again from the same location. I will try to ...

Lots of coolant all over the tarmac!!
Bongo has lost its coolant. I noticed it all over the tarmac today. It has been running quite normally and still appears fine in every other way. RAC have been out and they think it is the radiator losing fluid from the top left hand corner (when looking at the front of the vehicle). It doesn't ...

Cam Belt replacement
My mechanic tells me that he cannot find any info re Cam Belt replacement on his usual database-I guess this is because it is only searching European vehicles. Does anyone know where he can find any guidance about tension settings etc to assist him or does all the relevant and necessary info come ...

cam belt
Am I right in thinking that my 1997 Diesel 2.5 Bongo which has now done 118000 km is due to have a cambelt change? I have no guarantee that it was done when imported.

Coolant alarms
I am thinking of fitting an alarm to warn of impending coolant loss. I am told this is something that Bongos are prone to. Can anyone tell me whether this is a high mileage problem or can it happen in lower mileage vehicles too. Mine is just coming up to 120K kilometers (75K miles) and is a 1997 2.5 ...

Antler Cycle Rack
Fitting this product requires the removal of the parking mirror. It looks as if the screws are very difficult to access. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Horn not working
Both the Horn and the steering wheel push switch actually work but not together! Mechanic says he needs a wiring diagram. Can anyone help? It might be on page 78 of some publication but I don't have access to it. Not sure how to proceed. Any ideas?
