V6 Misfire and racing
Morning All - Hope someone can help.. V6 running on petrol only developed quite a misfire. Having read through this forum, I changed the air filter for under a tenner and was back in business. Bongo ran well for a couple of weeks, but now a lesser misfire has developed on startup. The van also races...

Romano LPG and some other stuff. V6 Tintop...
Morning all. Not used my gas for a while as local petrol station stopped supplying lpg. Filled with gas for a recent trip to wales. Whilst it works ok, the engine note when running on gas is audibly higher pitched than when on petrol. Want to get it looked at and the Romano system serviced but cant ...

Re: Side door stuck....
After many weeks, Im sure I have figured out the problem. Just need some way of fixing it. With the side door open, you can see the main rubber seal that the door closes onto. At the bottom left (as you look at it from outside), the seal bends in a curve through 90 degrees from vertical to horizonta...

Ticking !
V6 Bongo 'ticking', but can only hear it when driving close to a wall, fence, hedge on the nearside, with the passenger window open, as it sends the sound back in my direction. i.e. If windows closed I dont hear it. The ticking is very similar to having a stone stuck in your tyre. It gets quicker as...

Re: Side door stuck....
Thanks for that will get some spray. Its still playing up, but Im not sure its anything to do with all the bells and whistles at the front of the door as I have discovered that if I get my fingers in the gap at the right/rear of the door and give it a good tug whilst pulling on the handle, something...

Side door stuck....
I have read most if not all of the many posts on this subject and have twice been successful with the 'hit it hard on the inside of the door' solution. When I have done this, the door seems to open and close a few times, but next time I come to use the van, same problem of stuck door. Im no mechanic...

Re: Bongo servicing and more required - Surrey Hants boder
Thanks again for the suggestions. I used the Alton aircon service (above) some years ago and whilst the problem was finally resolved, the job started as 'it will be fixed for around £180', but I ended up spending over £1000 on a car worth £2500. Ouch... Fortunately, I found a local, mobile bloke who...

Re: Bongo servicing and more required - Surrey Hants boder
Thanks for your responses. The original 'repairer' is 125 miles (close to where I bought my Bongo) away and I did visit him to sort the valve he had just fitted. Unfortunately he took it out, failed (again) to see it was not the correct one and sent me on my way, having simply refitted it, claiming ...

Bongo servicing and more required - Surrey Hants boder
Hello all - Joined the world of Bongo a couple of months having purchased a 1999 V6 privately, and loving it. No conversion and a tin top, but came with drive away tent, so more than enough for camping trips. The seller had spent £880 the week before on the aircon and LPG valve to ensure it was in t...
