What fluid for power steering?
I can't believe this is so hard to find out!
Need to replace rack so need to know what fluid to use, lots of conflicting or vague notions on the interwebs about what to use.
Some say you can use Automatic Transmission Fluid, some say you can't or shouldn't unless emergency, but I am finding it ...

Re: Which glow plugs?
Huh? Surely it’s the length of the heater element which means if it’s too long it will smash into the top of the piston at tdc?

Re: Rev counter stuck at 1000?
Thanks (2 of you!) for the helpful comments!
(I'll get a hammer and smash the sensor, then use a screwdriver to slice up the belts on the alternator.)
there aren't enough weekends to keep up with all the things that go wrong!

Rev counter stuck at 1000?
Hi guys and gals
Diesel 2.5 1995... manual... rev counter is zero when engine off, then goes up to 1000 and stays there whatever the revs, and may go back to zero I’d revved hard
Any ideas where to start looking for the fault?
Thanks for any help you can offer?
Thanks
Nick

Lower wishbone bushes... replacement?.
I’ve just had a shufty under the bongo and one of the lower from wishbone front bushes is missing the rubber stop at the back so I can see the pivot. Not good.
Question is can they be replaced without the use of special tools. I have the normal stuff, and the use of a ramp lift, but tbh I hate ...

Indicator relay issue?.
My left turn indicators have packed up, right is ok, hazards work on right but not left. Started off working intermittantly, then ok for a week now packed up altogether. Ticks too fast when trying left..
Bulbs are ok, earths from both are ok, (measured it with multimeter) so assume it’s the relay ...

Clutch kit for 2.5wlt diesel. Recommendations?
These seem really expensive? Got to get gearbox out to fix it so might as well put a new clutch in, but they seem to be upwards of £250 which seems steep... plate, thrust bearing and cover.... any ideas as to where t source one more reasonably?
Thanks
Thanks

Identifying manual diesel gearbox?
Hi guys
My 2.5wlt td manual 5 speed 4wd gearbox has gone pop. Clattering noise at idle when stationary, noise goes when clutch depressed, dodgy getting gears when moving.... suspect lay shaft or synchro? Anyway... looking for replacement and can’t find the aluminium tag advertised as being drivers ...

How to remove rear air con heat exchanger????
I need to get my crusty sills done and body shop needs to have the rear air con heat exchanger removed.... question is how do I get to it? Doesn’t seem to be access from underneath so I assume it will have to come out from the inside which means taking the side conversion out I suppose 😔
Any ...
