What is this fault code?

I'm having trouble diagnosing this fault code for my automatic gearbox: https://youtu.be/eOnVy90c4bQ

From what I can see, the first code is 37 (three long and seven short dashes), but based on the online fault code page (http://www.philmcfadden.co.uk/MazdaDiagnosticBox.htm) , there is no code 37 ...

Re: Auto gearbox won't go into 1st

I've followed the instructions on the Phil McFadden diagnostic box page (http://www.philmcfadden.co.uk/MazdaDiagnosticBox.htm) and when I turned on the ignition, I got one long (about 1.5 sec) flash from the bulb. Nothing else.

Does indicate no fault, or is that a "01" pointing to the NE1 ...

Re: Auto gearbox won't go into 1st

I assume the oil level is being checked with the engine running in park?

There could be a clue in the light not illuminating. You may have an issue with the range switch mounted on the outside of the transmission. This switch tell the computer which gear you have selected so it knows what to do ...

Auto gearbox won't go into 1st

Hey Bongonauts, our beloved 2000 2.0 petrol/LPG Bongo has auto gearbox issues.

It's an intermittent problem where putting the box in drive does nothing. Reverse works fine, just none of the forward gears. Then after a blip of the throttle, there's a noticable clunk and the gears engage. Once this ...

Re: Rear Tailgate Light Change (2001 latest shape aero)

This looks like the right diagram I should be looking at: http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... 2of03.html, but where do I start in order to access the rear light bulbs?

Re: Rear Tailgate Light Change (2001 latest shape aero)

Hi guys, I also have the more recent aero shaped Bongo (without handles on the tailgate) and I need to replace one of the bulbs in the actual door/boot itself. I've done some searching around and found this thread. Are there any explicit instructions on how to access this tricky area? So far I've ...

Driver's door stuck locked shut!

Hey all. An odd fault that popped up a day or two ago - I went to unlock the driver's door as usual with the key, but nothing. It turns to the left but not to the right, as if something is physically blocking it, or as if I have the wrong key. Now my driver's door is stuck locked, and I have to ...

Re: Central locking

Thanks again guys, esp for the directions to the fuse. I took it out and was intact. Cleaned and replaced it with a bit of a jiggle and, hey presto, central locking. I should have said originally that my c/l was retro-fitted so that all doors and the tailgate operate remotely.

You say your ...

I need to replace mine, as the original one has long since cracked into a bazillion pieces and disintegrated! Where did you get your replacement one - I can't seem to find it on this site...?

Re: Which catalytic converter for a 2001 2.0 petrol?

Having looked into this previously , my small local garage said it would be no trouble for them to alter the flanges to fit my 2.0 for about another £20-£30, with a replacement 2.5 cat at only £179 it seems no contest.

Here's a link to the one I found.

Re: Which catalytic converter for a 2001 2.0 petrol?

Actually scrap that second link - spoke to the guy there and he said that won't fit without some adjustment, as the angles on the ends are different to the 2.0 version. He said if he ordered in a cat converter from Japan it'd be in the region of £700, but has heard of some people ordering the 2.5 V6 ...

Which catalytic converter for a 2001 2.0 petrol?

Hi, well she's failed the mot on emissions and the back box. The cat converter needs replacing, and having searched the forum I still can't tell which converter fits.

I've found the centre sections and back boxes listed on the shop , but no mention of catalytic converters. I've found one listed ...

Re: Help identifying mystery switches!

2-digit binary immobiliser switch ? ;-)

Other things could be if not related to your LPG..

1) a switch to disable the Glow Plugs - there's an article on glow plugs in the members section which suggests this as a way of extending their life as you don't necessarily need them to start the car in ...

Good suggestion, but the little black box with the "A" on it does that!
