Hey all. An odd fault that popped up a day or two ago - I went to unlock the driver's door as usual with the key, but nothing. It turns to the left but not to the right, as if something is physically blocking it, or as if I have the wrong key. Now my driver's door is stuck locked, and I have to climb through from the passenger side! A problem I want to get fixed promptly as you can imagine!
I've tried unlocking it from the inside using the door "pip", but that won't budge at all, suggesting it's not an electrical problem but a mechanical one. The door handle on the inside and the outside moves freely, but isn't engaging anything inside the door. The central locking key fob (a third party Cobra Bridge 4100 fitted before I had the Bongo) hasn't worked for a while, and still doesn't now. I have to lock the passenger and sliding doors and the boot individually using the key. I've tried using the spare key which is less used than the main one, but that operates exactly like the main one.
My next step would be to take the door apart, but as it's locked shut I can't take the interior panel off. So I'm stumped! Has anyone experienced this problem, or have any bright ideas on how to approach fixing it?
Thanks in advance

Re: Driver's door stuck locked shut!
I had a landrover that did that every winter
I used to push the door pip up and do handle at the same time
While pulling door inwards quite a knack to it
Might be worth a try tho

you should be able to get the interior panel off somehow, then .
