Prettying up the shift indicator strip

Post by snowington » Fri Jul 11, 2014 11:43 pm

Hi folks,

Finally managed to replace my stolen Bongo with a new baby. A 4WD 97 and apart from a bit of cosmetics and such, it's great. One little problem is to replace the gear indicator strip. I brought one from this very site, but trying to install it is another matteSearched everywhere online but no joy.

I've removed the centre console, etc, but having removed the front screw and unclipping the housing, and the two scres on the gearknob, apart from a loosening, the gear selector housing is still stuck somehow?

Any clues, save having to spend £60 on a workshop manual for one little job would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Snowy

I need to replace mine, as the original one has long since cracked into a bazillion pieces and disintegrated! Where did you get your replacement one - I can't seem to find it on this site...?
