Re: Rear Heater Bi-pass Help.

Hi There

Rear heater bi passed by my mechanic who then topped up the coolant and took it for a drive. The Bongo overheated again so he told me it must be the cylinder head gasket. I then asked him to watch the coolant bleeding videos on YouTube and we had another go.
This time the engine remained ...

Re: Rear Heater Bi-pass Help.

Hi Dave,

Sorry to be a pain. Do you have a diagram which shows me where to blank the pipes off?
If you can't post on here please send to [email protected]

Cheers

Rear Heater Bi-pass Help.

Hi There,

My bongo has sprung a leak on the off side rear heater metal pipe at the T junction. I’m planning to bypass all the rear pipe work by placing another pipe between the input and output of the front heater matrix so the front heater still works.

This will also bi-pass the pipe on the T ...

Re: Wasdale

I stayed here last weekend and walked Scafell pike. The National Trust camp site is the best I've stayed at. Cost £10.50 a night with power and the toilet block was fantastic and there was always hot water. The pub is a short walk away and the food is great.

Re: AFT Roof wont raise or close.

Hi Gasy,

The roof with the gas struts fitted is easy to put up but lowering it gets quite heavy when its nearly closed. Don't get me wrong you don't need to be a body builder, my Mrs can do it easy.

Re: AFT Roof wont raise or close.

Right guys I've had enough of messing around with the electric roof.......!!!

I've now removed the roof motors and the AFT roof struts so the roof is now totaly manual like a VW. The gas struts help when raising the roof but they're not strong enough to hold it open so I've now cut a ally pole to ...

AFT Roof wont raise or close.

Hi There,

The roof on the Bongo has decided to only work when it wants to.........! I'm starting to think is possessed.........!
The roof wouldn't work this weekend whilst in Whitby, the roof raised 6 inch and then stopped. To get home we had to ratchet strap it down. I've now got home and the roof ...

Re: Flashing HOLD light

I have a N reg 2.5 and had what sounds the same, time to get upset. Please see notes below from my past post.

Well after trying to fix the problem myself by having the gearbox serviced, replacing all the sensors I could get my hands on, removing the dash MPH/KPH chip and selling my soul to Satan ...

Flashing Hold Light.

Well after trying to fix the problem myself by having the gearbox serviced, replacing all the sensors I could get my hands on, removing the dash MPH/KPH chip and selling my soul to Satan the intermitant limp mode and flashing hold light would not clear.
I finally bit the bullet and took the Bongo to ...

How do I clear the ECU fault codes.

Hi All,
I'm still having intermitant HOLD light gearbox problems and I'm working my way around all the engine sensors. What I would like to do is clear the ECU fault codes after each bit of work to see if I've made a change.
Things done so far, gearbox service and oil change, speedo chip removed ...

Flashing Hold Light.

Hi All, This is my first post so I hope I've done it right.
I bought a Bongo with a auto gearbox problem but I had no idea as the last owner had removed the HOLD light bulb before selling. TOP TIP if your new to Bongo's when test driving always try the HOLD button and check the dash light.
The first ...
