Flashing Hold Light.

Post by Howie1501 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 3:49 pm

Well after trying to fix the problem myself by having the gearbox serviced, replacing all the sensors I could get my hands on, removing the dash MPH/KPH chip and selling my soul to Satan the intermitant limp mode and flashing hold light would not clear.
I finally bit the bullet and took the Bongo to Barnsley Auto Transmissions. 2 days later I got a call to say it was fixed and they had replaced the gearbox solenoids and it seemed to be working well. After handing over £650 and 600 miles later I've had no problems, at last I can use the Bongo for what its was made.
The guys at Barnsley Auto were great and I would recomend them to everyone. They are very streight talking and there's no messing about, they just tell you how it is. The bongo is now doing 33mph but I only have a rear conversion free top, so I'm saving money on fuel.
I hope none of you have to go through what I have but now I couldn't be happier, best £650 I've spent.
Hope to catch up with some of you on the bashes or out on the road.

Howie
