Re: clicking on n/s/f when travelling

Shut the windows and use the aircon then you won't hear it :)

Seriously though, sounds like brake pads, I'd have a look at them on both sides to make sure you have enough pad thickness ad the pistons are free etc.

just had new brake pads on last week and 2 different mechanics have checked all ...

Re: bonnet bra

I've a bonnet bra and swear by them.

Unfortunately unless you can find someone to make one, you are limited with what is around!

The previous posts about 'tide' marks and rust are true. However, what I do is; remove bonnet bra and put in a 30/40C wash to get rid of all the residual dust/grit/sand ...

Re: bulb replacement of heater unit in dashboard

I would agree with Helen... But, the way i did it was un clip the two cables either side of the footwells flap controls, then release & draw forward the radio (if fitted in or occupying the bottom din) to allow a little slack on the third recirculation cable that leads through the firewall/bulkhead ...

Re: blue smoke problem

did the blue smoke start when the outside temps dropped, if so it could just be the cold start working as it should.

when the bongo coolant is below about 10 deg c the 1st stage cold start comes on, the left hand solenoid on top of the glow plug rail. this works until the coolant is above ...
