brake pipe renewal

Post by moffatt » Fri Jun 26, 2015 9:35 pm

Hi everyone, had to change my mid to rear metal brake pipe and had a hell of a job getting it off ( goes over the top of the fuel tank  )
Is it legal to replace the whole length with a flexible pipe???????

There is no reason why you can not use PUCKER brake hose, as these vehicles already use them.

The hoses would need to be of the correct length and secured (bracketed), and you could experience some sponginess with the brake pedal as a result of using this type of hose..

Good Luck.

Use braided hose and you won't get the spongyness.

Hi and welcome moffat :D talking about brake pipes I'm going to lightly rub mine down with fine sanding and then re-grease them, trying to get the whole underside sealed for winter :D hope you get it sorted
