Do you mean relay or fuse? The position of the main fuse varies, depending on the year of the van - see http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... usebox.pdf

Probably, it could be for optional extras, leccy blinds heated mirrors etc, does everything in your van work as it should

Check the connection on the back of the speedo one may be loose, if you have a chip try with out that, that may be the cause of the flashing and speedo not working,

the smoke depends on the colour .

The relay marked MAIN is used on the petrol vehicles it switches the main power on/off to the fuel pump and its relay, and too the Injectors and a few other things under control of the ECU.

Flashing hold light indicates fault with the gearbox: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... dlight.pdf

If the speedo is not working I would hazard a guess that the speed sensor has failed which is a fairly common problem, although its worth eliminating a fault with the speedo chip (if fitted)

Just to add,

When the guys above mention a "chip" or "speedo chip" this is a simple after-market conversion on the back of the speed dial to convert the readings from kilometres used in the rest of the world (ish.) to miles in the UK.

This modification can cause issue if it comes lose/disconnected or faulty itself....

If your odometer racks up kilometres though, the chances are just the speed dial faceplate was changed to read the speed in miles.... In which case i would be looking for a fault elsewhere?
Though i wouldn't rule out one of the connectors at the top back of the dial cluster not quite making contact/clipped in with the "flexible" PCB though..?!! :-k

Hope this helps..?!
