Was just about to cut and paste that same quote.

With an all black Freda I had thought about tinting the rear lights but decided against it in light of the new test.

The new rules are effective 1/1/12 as advisories, in force as fails from April 2012, final date tbc. So, you could in theory get away with it if the MOT is in the next 9 days. That's the rules, how well they are enforced is another matter....

typical!!, oh well will have to remove them if need be and then put them back on after the next MOT and will be doing the rear ones as well
