the old dodgey fuel guage

Post by karen » Wed Mar 03, 2010 11:03 am

hello read lots of the posts re this - boy it gets confusing

basically mine fuel guage just now is showing totally empty - if i remove the wire connection and pop it back on then fuel guage will go to what it should be and it will then slowly drop while driving. am i correct in saying this is the earth issue and i just need to disconnect the batteries ,cut the earth wire and pop a tail on it and earth it to one of the screw point's (wire wool the point so that i get better connection)

If you mean under the plate between the rear seats then yes, I made a second earth as a failsafe as well.
