rear windscreen wiper

dont know if anyone can tell me whats wrong
my rear windsreen wiper wasnt working so i checked the fuse having found the right one after looking in the forum lol to see that it had blown so i replaced it and everything worked for a few days then it blew again . is the motor wiper knackered or could it be something more sinister ???

Sounds like you have a short somewhere - try where the wires pass between the main body and the tailgate. Hope this helps.

Don't worry your not the only one mine dosen't work either must check the fuse when i get the chance and hope i check the right one!

When you got it working again, was it running smoothly, or did it appear to be having a bit of a struggle?

If there is any corrosion along the wiper shaft where it enters the motor casing and bearing - perhaps due to water having gotten in between the shaft and the rubber door gasket - then this could cause enough strain on the motor for it to blow the fuse (when you slow down this type of electric motor, it draws more current).
