Removing seat sliders

Post by pippopuk » Sun Feb 22, 2009 11:43 pm

:D Hi there - I've had a quick look through the forum but can't seem to find any information on removing the seat slider mechanism from the rail. I'm new to this lark - not too bad with a pink spanner lol - just wanted some pointers. I've removed the rear seat to give me more room in the back but I'm after some guidance on the easiest way to remove the sliders that are left behind. I've probably not used the right names for them. Any help would be gratefully received.

You will probably need to loosen the rails from the Bongo floor, remove the end stops, and slide the runners off.

The end stop bit can be a pig to re-fit, but you can pop a bolt in it's place, just leave the nut loose/finger tight.

Good luck.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.
