TM2 numbers

Post by Lewy » Mon Jul 21, 2008 5:57 pm

After swapping the sensor on my TM2 to the INLET side and securing it underneath a middle rocker bolt and spacer so that it is directly on the head, I'm getting a much more consistent reading.

Paranoia aside the figures it is recording seem quite high though around 88-95 - usually around the 90/92 mark on hot days going up and down some quite steep hills on A roads and B roads of South Devon. I have a Mason alarm fitted too and can see the needle on the temp responding to hard hauls up hills.

I can see the temp numbers going up on hard hauls too and then dropping again when cruising or going downhill.

I know there are a lot of variables to consider in different vans but was wondering what temp people would expect a big diesel to generally work at?
