Sliding door only half working
I have done a search but I can't find this one.
I have just spent some time in the car in the back with the door closed and when I came to open the sliding door - nothing happenned. I had to clamber out through the passenger door. It is working from the outside but not from the inside and I have no idea why or how long this has been like this. My son knows he isn't allowed to open the door himself so I always open it from the outside so it may have been like this for upto a week which was when I was doing the curtains (must have worked then).
Any ideas on what to do. I am baffled on this one.

I taped over mine with gaffer tape as it annoyed me so. Even then, it punched a hole through the gaffer tape when somebody whatevered it, so it could be knocked on and off again.
I would reckon a lump of Blutac pressed against it in the unset position would be better than gaffer tape at stopping it getting knocked on.

Hindsight MC, hindsight. Also, wouldn't want it getting involved with the mechanism if - say - car left out on v hot day and the stuff melted into the works etc.scanner wrote:mikeonb4c wrote:Be advised MC, that childlock catch is a demon for knocking on and off by accident.
