Flashing Glow Plug Light & Limp Mode. (Yes, another one)

Post by DazzaJay » Wed May 29, 2024 9:58 am

I've had a good look around, and ive read all the replies on other threads, so i've got a nice long list to check already on my brother's Bongo
(VGT Vanes Stuck, Wastegate Stuck, EGR Valve, Vaccuum Lines, Solenoids and a valve under the seats, too much Transmission fluid, etc)

But there's one question i have that wasnt answered by all the other threads.
I created another thread because i wanted information on "the mystery switch" which has been answered as the "Engine Fast Heating" system and the "exhaust recirculate valve"

so the question is,
Could this "Engine Fast Heating"/"exhaust recirculate valve" also be a cause of this limp issue?

A lot of those items above are operated by the vacuum system, maybe there is a leak in the vacuum system which could include the vacuum pipe to the exhaust valve causing a lack of vacuum? Try this search search.php?keywords=vacuum+system+exhaust

Awesome, thanks. I've passed all this onto my brother, and he's going to in his words (He's not a tech guy).. "print all this information out and see if it helps my mechanic"

(As the mechanic, not being familiar with the bongo, has only cleaned the EGR Valve at this point, but the issue remains)
