On my 2002 diesel 2,5 the coil light won’t stop flashing even while driving.
My mechanic says he doesn’t have the old OBD plugs to diagnostic.
What shall I do? I was planning to hit the coast over the weekend.
Thank you guys.

Re: Coil light flushing
This actually happened me last week after changing the glowplugs (along with the scavenger fan switching itself on intermittently)
Turned out I forgot it plug in a connector beside the handbrake

Re: Coil light flushing
Ooo I’ll check the handbrake compartment… I just did a service 2 days ago maybe something is pinched there. Thank you
Re: Coil light flushing
he Glowplug light flashing indicates as the garage has said that the ECU is reporting a fault. You read the error code by using a link wire and lamp to see the flashes from the OBD socket. There is a Factsheet in the members area detailing the steps to read the code.
