I have them fitted to the leisure battery which needs regular topping up from a charger . I had them fitted to my caravan battery too .
I just find it hassle free to use butterfly nuts on the battery clamp and easy disconnection of the battery itself using these terminals No need to hunt around for spanners .I am a lazy sod

I,m not really clued up on all this leisure battery lark, but my brother in law fitted a leisure battery to his bongo, and he didnt have to charge the leisure battery, it charged when he drove the bongo, and his interior lights and radio worked without the ignition on. There was a solar panel stuck in the hatch window in the roof also, which apparently charged the batteries when the sun shined??
Im not sure if the last bit was a wind up or not, but there was a solar panel there
