Interior Trim Removal

Hi,

I expect this is a dumb question, but I am paranoid about breaking something, and it is better to ask IMO.

I want to run a cable from the upper rear of my Bongo (for a solar panel) to the front. I would like to route the cable behind the trim over the windows.
I have removed the two passenger grab handles, and the seatbelt bolts. I haven't noticed any other fixings, and the trim seems both brittle and very secure.

How do I remove it? My Bongo is a 98 model.

Use appropriate tool to gently pry the trim off.

I appreciate the reply, but it doesn't help me. I need to know how the trim is secured - whether it is a stiff, pop-fit, or whether there are additional fastenings I have missed.

Its under 'Body and Interior', then 'Window Trim'.

The little spring clip is shown bottom right.

Once the handles are off its spring clips, just avoid pulling them out by using the trim itself otherwise the clips bend, then pop off in all directions - normally never to be found again So the pry tool is a good idea or a long flat screwdriver. You may also get quite a long way using a cable mouse to push down the channel, but I wouldn't want to be certain you would get all the way in one go!

Thanks to Bob I have ordered the trim removal kit. Thanks to Rita I can see where the spring clips are located. And thanks to yourself for confirming it is some gawdawful spring clips - which I can't see or figure out until I have lost them.

I think I will take some photos if I can get that far. And yes, I was hoping I could feed most of the cable without popping the trim.

Or I have has success with the plastic covered wire you hang net curtains on. This is really cheap.
