and checked to day and it has been put in cross threadedso hay ho out comes the hacksaw done in no time only problem now is the tw**t that worked on it before has also rounded off one of the bolts holding the back plate on
and also I haven't got the size to get a socket for the large nut either yet
...will have to purchase a nut splitter (for the small nut) this job is growing daily

						Re: brake pipes
If the pipe is being replaced just cut it off at the nut then use a 6 sided socket to remove the fitting
Loads of wd40 the night before is a good idea, in the unlikely event the nut rounds off use these.

I have just replaced mine on a 20 year old Discovery the local factors charges me about £10 for three long pipes with fittings, it works out cheaper as I didn't have to buy a role of pipe that would sit in the garage for years

Re: brake pipes
thanks Winchman will keep that in mind but still trying to find the size of the large nut at the top of the back plate and still sorting getting off the rounded over 14mm nut off
once that's sorted and new bearing on will start to rebuild brakes

Other types I have tried didn't work.
Recently tied some of these on a seized rounded off calliper bolt, Tried my set like in the earlier post and it came out first time.

This is only a half set but at £14.80 its cheaper than screw fix
The yellow cardboard in the box lifts out and you can buy the next 5 bigger sizes to fit in the case.

I have the small set at work and you always need the one size you don't have, set I have at home is a 10 piece Crafstman one bought years ago in Florida for about £20
If the cheap set has the correct size in it its worth it as it will get it out, what can you buy these days for £15?
