there are 2 switches on the drivers side below the steering wheel that have no label, one is just below the steering wheel, and the other (above the fuses) has a blue LED that lights up when its switched, but I have no idea what either of them does? Anyone have any clue what these do? (photo link below)

Re: mystery switches
Welcome aboard.
One of them is very likely the rear fog light.
Switch on headlights then try it.
They're not required in Japan but must be fitted on import for MOT.

Re: mystery switches
Agree the one on the right is likely to be the rear fog light, which won't work until the lights are switched on.
The other one may be connected to a low coolant alarm or the immobiliser. Does it come on the make a noise when you turn the ignition on? If so, it's the coolant alarm telling you it's working! Or if it just flashes when you turn the ignition on, it could be the immobiliser?
My electric guy added a switch like the fog light one so I could turn off the aftermarked CD/radio rather than leave it on standby, but he wired it into the retracting wing mirrors! So I found out ...
