Hi All ,
Well while lately ive been taking out the bongo to keep it in good running order so its ready for the up and coming trips this year . However some kind soul decieded to get so close to have a look at the bongo that they caught my wing mirror and so my glass was smashed out
Luckily the actual wing mirror is still intact , but missing the glass but im not sure if i could just replace it with a sticky backed glass or does it need some sort of bracket to attach the glass to the wing mirror .???
hopefully you can help .
cheers

Martin

You need the plastic clip that fits onto the four corners ideally, was it not on the ground with the smashed mirror ?

Looking at your mirror I would say (not 100%) that you need the backing plate that the glass is stuck/clipped onto then it Snaps into the electric mirror adjusting pivots . As I say not 100% sure on these vehicles but this is the case in a lot of vehicles.

I've not heard of spare ones, but never needed to find one, if anyone could supply it will be Bongo Spares
http://www.bongospares.co.uk/
or any of the normal suppliers not seen them listed in the shop either.

The Bongo Fury shop sells the glass for £36.00,for that price I would imagine that it will be the full Monty, glass and backing plate? you could contact the shop to find out.

Do you need to remove the mount itself ? The new mirror if it comes with clip attached just pushes on.

No i dont need to remove the whole assembly , however i was toying with the idea of making the wing mirrors colour coded ?

Perhaps Ian at the Bongo Shop could advise if theirs comes with clips on (price suggests it might) as i'm not sure all do.
