Air bag warning light

Post by BeardyBongolian » Fri Feb 19, 2016 1:22 am

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about why my air bag warning light flashes regularly, but then stops for a couple of days then starts again?!? Is it likely there is a fault in the system and best to get it checked out at a garage, or could it be a lose wire that I could fix? Have only owned my 2000 reg Bongo for 4 months, so still a novice! Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Can't help with the light I'm afraid, but a warm welcome to the Forum.

Someone will know. :)
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Welcome to the forum :). With airbag warning lights being an MOT failure it's an idea to get the problem fixed at earliest opportunity. A quick search for 'airbag AND light' returns a lot of info from when other owners have experienced the same issue: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... mit=Search

Thanks for the welcomes and link- I'll give it a look over and see if I can work out where the problem is! It has stopped flashing at the mo! :D

My airbag light was flashing for ages until I disconnected the battery, left for 5 min, removed drivers airbag, removed passenger airbag , reconnected them both and refitted them then re connected battery and that sorted it. Never flashed since.
Worth a try for half an hours work.
