Front Fog Lights

Post by morangopat » Thu Dec 17, 2015 5:43 pm

Has anyone any advice regards fitting front fog/road lights in the two lower bumper slots.
E.g. Best lights and where to get them from; any technical fitting issues.

I believe I've read on here some years back that, where people have been unable to source originals (which used in any case to often go for silly prices) they have managed to use these:

You need some DIY skills to make up holding brackets but at that price its not a disaster if one breaks after a stone strike etc. If anyone reading this has experience of fitting them, maybe they could offer a comment?

Stick some mirror foil onto the press out panels and they will light up when someone comes the other way with everything blazing.

No wiring or brackets needed, minimal cost and they look really smart in daylight too.

I've had the idea for quite a while.

Just can't remember where I put the mirror stuff.

I fitted these to my previous bongo, good quality. I did some just make some simple brackets to hold them in place using the original screw holes. Quite easy. They were tough and worked well and fitted the holes good.
Do what you like.Like what you do.

There's a fact sheet about fitting these, including the wiring, in the member's area of the main website.

Excellent + excellent to hear of Stuc's experience. So there you have it - give the Mazda originals a miss, go for the Rings, and spend just a bit of the saving on joining Bongo Fury ;-)
